It’s the Simple Things
During this pandemic as the world shut down my family and I have been forced to re-evaluate what’s really
important to us. We were a very busy family, our week was filled with school, homework, after school activities and
most weekends were filled with birthday parties, choir rehearsal, Sunday school and church. When the world shut
down it forced us to be still and spend more time together truly as family. We found ourselves having more family
nights, watching movies together and playing card and board games. It forced us to truly slow down, cook more and
do a lot of things ourselves.
I found a sense of beauty in the simpleness of life and begin to really thing about what’s truly important to me. It’s
not about filling every moment of my life with things to do just so I can say I’m busy but it’s about health, wellness,
family, love, vitality, and freedom. Life is truly but a dream and I’m forever grateful for each day because it’s another
chance to learn something new, create awesome memories with my children and make an impact. Life is filled with
abundance and everyday is filled with possibilities. Yesterday my daughter and I played tennis for the first time and it
was so much fun. We met an amazing instructor and we’re considering taking a few lessons to improve our playing
skills. I’ve learned that nothing in life is a coincidence, the fact that we choose a court right next to a instructor
wasn’t by chance. The teacher shows when the student is ready. We enjoyed our game and received so many
compliments in our dress/rompers from Halara. I made a video on why these dresses are amazing for everyday life
and especially for tennis. I’m looking forward to learning this new world of tennis and I’m so proud of myself for
challenging myself to try something new.
